Incredible...
It's been 6 months now. We have experienced so much in the last few months. We can't list all of our highlights, there were just so many.
Israel was definitely a mega highlight. We really enjoyed it there! The people, the food, the atmosphere and how Israelis celebrate life. It's unbelievable what happened there 6 weeks later... we have no words for it! We are just happy and grateful that we were able to enjoy the country to the fullest.
Dubai was certainly a highlight for our boys. For me, Liisa, well... less. For me: "Been there, done that..." 😜
Vietnam was incredibly special. We really liked the landscape. As a family we certainly had some challenges in Vietnam, so it will certainly be remembered.
Cambodia surprised us. We didn't expect much and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely people there. It was incredibly nice to talk to Swiss people again who have lived there for over 8 years and know the country so well. Our boys enjoyed the wake park, the good food and the community with other Swiss people.
Thailand was a nice change. We enjoyed the most wonderful sunsets, visited deserted islands and had a really nice family time.
Singapore, wow, we liked that so much, especially after a city like Bangkok, a stark contrast. Singapore is clean, tidy, European, friendly, modern and much more. We really enjoyed it, we will definitely come here again.
Australia...where should I start here? First of all, it was nice to meet so many friends, relatives and acquaintances. Many thanks to everyone for the mega hospitality! We really enjoyed that!
However, we quickly realised that we were traveling in the wrong vehicle. With our large motorhome we cannot drive on unpaved roads because then our machine would almost fly apart. Here in Australia everyone has a 4x4 and then tows their caravan with them. These caravans cannot be compared with the simple European caravans.
No, these caravans are extremely suitable for off-road use, have everything with them and can be taken on any road.
Only Americans and Europeans drive motorhomes here.
Yes, now we know, and if we visit Australia again, we will definitely do so with a 4x4- capable vehicle.
We now have 3 more weeks in Australia on our agenda before we cross the time zone and fly to L.A. to continue our adventures on the American and Central American continents.
Here’s to the next 6 months! 👍🏼
